Earlier, a scam of lakhs of rupees done by the employees in the Nagar Parishad and Subdivision Office was caught. But this time an assistant of the Health Department, Amjad Hussain, broke all records. He had included the names of fake doctors in the salary list itself. In the last one and a half years, a huge amount was being transferred in their name in the name of salary every month. Prima facie, a scam of more than 1 crore rupees has been caught. Amjad Hussain's wife is also his equal partner in this scam. Because accounts were opened in some banks in her name. DC Chandan Kumar gave information about this entire matter in a press conference on Tuesday evening. He told that as soon as the news of a big scam in the Health Department was received, he set up an investigation committee. Also, an FIR has been lodged against assistant Amjad Hussain and his wife in Ramgarh police station. He told that when the bank accounts were traced, it was found that none of the accounts was in the name of any doctor. Amjad Hussain and his wife were operating five different bank accounts.
When TDS was deducted from Dr Rahul Umre's PAN card, the entire matter was exposed
DC Chandan Kumar said that Assistant Professor of Forensic Medicine Department Dr Rahul Umre posted in Government Medical College Latur of Maharashtra State informed on 23rd August from telephone number 9970315598 about TDS credit in his PAN in 26 AS. He told that this credit has been received from National Health Mission, Ramgarh. Dr Rahul Umre was not posted in Sadar Hospital or any other government hospital of Ramgarh district. When investigation was done, it was found that there are four more people like Dr Rahul.
Attendance of fake doctors was made and they were absent,
When the investigation was done by the District Accounts Manager of the District Health Committee, it was found that Dr. Sangeeta Vadik, Dr. Veena Kumari and Dr. T. Chakravarti were already being paid. Apart from this, suspicious payments were also being made to Sarita Kumari for years. It has also become clear in the investigation that attendance of all the doctors and health workers was also made. Many times they were also absent. One female health worker is also on maternity leave. Out of the above four doctors, only 01 doctor Veena Kumari was paid on the basis of her name being found in the absentee register. As per the information received about the remaining 03 doctors Dr. Rahul Umaren, Dr. Sangeeta Vadik and Dr. T. Chakravarti, it was told that 02 doctors are studying abroad, 01 doctor has resigned from the service and Sarita Kumari is on maternity leave.
All files of salary have been closed, payment will be done from a single file
After this scam came to light, all the files of the health department have been closed. The district accounts manager said that due to many files of salary being maintained, there is difficulty in matching them. These should be closed and only two files should be maintained from June 2024. He also told that some important pages have been made missing by tampering with the closed file.
A committee led by SDO will investigate the salary payments of 10 years
DC Chandan Kumar said that the responsibility of investigating this entire scam has been given to Ramgarh SDO Ashish Gangwar. He will investigate all the files of offline and online salary payments in the last 10 years. There is a possibility that this scam is not just of one and a half years. Big scams have been committed in the last several years and action will be taken against all those who are involved in this case.
