Nawada, 27 July (HS). The headmaster has been caught in the case of selling the books and MDM food grains allotted to the children in the school. He has been suspended on Saturday. The case is related to Manoj Kumar, Principal of Adarsh Government Middle School Baijnathpur under Barat Panchayat of Meskaur block of Nawada district.
He was suspended on Saturday on the charge of illegally selling textbooks and mid-day meal food material. On Thursday, July 25, the principal Manoj Kumar was caught red-handed by the villagers while illegally selling about 5 sacks of textbooks and mid-day meal food material in the school. Then the villagers informed the Block Education Officer Naushad Ahmed and journalists about this over the phone.
As soon as the information was received, BEO Naushad Ahmed and journalists reached the school. After investigation, the Block Education Officer reported to the District Education Officer through letter no. 383 dated 24/07/2024 that Principal Manoj Kumar had accepted that he had illegally taken the textbooks and mid-day meal food items kept in the school out of the school on a rickshaw to sell them and was caught by the villagers during this.
On the basis of the report, Principal Manoj Kumar has been suspended with immediate effect and subjected to departmental action.
