Haridwar, August 5 (HS). Police has arrested the accused who lured two minor girls and took them to Uttar Pradesh and recovered both the girls safely. According to the police, on Thursday, a resident of Subhash Nagar in Jwalapur lodged a missing person report in Jwalapur police station that his minor daughter aged 14 years and her friend aged 14 years had left home to go to the temple, but did not return home till late evening. Even after a lot of searching, they could not be traced.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, Kotwali in-charge Inspector Ramesh Tanwar formed a team under the leadership of Senior Sub Inspector Rajesh Bisht. The team scanned the CCTV cameras installed around the house. After which the police team recovered one girl safely from Muzaffarnagar bus stand and the other from Bijnor. Also, the youth who kidnapped the girl has also been arrested from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
During interrogation, the accused revealed his name as Soyab resident of village Aurangabad, Shakurpur police station Mandawar district Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The girls were handed over to their families and the accused was produced in court and sent to jail in judicial custody.
