A 45-45 over match was played between Sogo Rangers vs Rainbow 1 Cricket Club in Harare. Sogo Rangers scored 229 runs in 44.1 overs, in response to which Rainbow 1 Cricket Club scored 226 runs for six wickets in 44.5 overs.

With 4 runs needed on the last ball, Rainbow 1 Cricket Club batsman Francis Sande hit a six to give the team the win. Ryan Burl was bowling and he realised that when he hit the same shot as Sande, the ball would cross the boundary line. He threw his bat in the air in excitement and the bat hit the umpire's leg, injuring him.
