Hazaribagh, September 26 (HS). A review meeting of MNREGA scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and welfare schemes run by the state government was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay.
In this meeting held in the conference hall of the Collectorate, Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay and DDC Prerna Dixit jointly reviewed the progress of schemes operated under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ambedkar Awas Yojana, Abua Awas Yojana, Birsa Well Development Scheme under MNREGA, Dobha, progress of Anganwadi Scheme, Birsa Green Village Scheme, Horticulture Scheme, Veer Shahid Potho Ho Sports Development Scheme, PD Generation, Geo Tagging, Janman Yojana, Panchayati Raj, status of ABPS, JSLPS.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed displeasure over the blocks which showed poor performance in the progress of schemes being run under MNREGA. He directed the BDOs of the low performing blocks to improve the progress of work and complete the implemented schemes on time. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the BDOs of all the blocks to approve the applications of various schemes received in the Government at Your Doorstep program and start them.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the BDOs to ensure 100% registration in the target given for Abua Awas Yojana. Get the third installment of Abua Awas Yojana released and get the construction work completed so that Griha Pravesh can be done on time. He said that there is a need to work out the Google Sheet in Birsa Koop Samvardhan Yojana and construction work can be started in Anganwadi Yojana.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the BDOs to provide the benefit of Abua Awas Yojana to those beneficiaries who have never received the benefit of Awas Yojana in the past. If such a case comes to light, the concerned BDO should personally go and investigate. He also asked to recommend removal of BPO, operator and other workers who are negligent in their work.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to increase the percentage of sanction in the blocks which have low percentage of sanction in PM Awas Yojana, release the first installment of Janman Yojana, complete the pending Awas Yojana schemes. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed all the BDOs to help in coordinating with the bank to help the villagers in the Security Insurance Scheme, Jeevan Jyoti Scheme and Mudra Loan operated under JSLPS.
In the end, Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay drew the attention of all the BDOs present regarding the upcoming assembly elections and said that this time they should try to remove the shortcomings found during the last Lok Sabha elections beforehand so that they do not have to face any kind of problem during the elections. This time there is a need to work in this direction to increase the voting percentage. All the concerned officers should visit their respective areas and ensure that the necessary arrangements are made available at the polling centers.
