New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has given a big statement regarding the population growth of the country. Bhagwat has said that the birth rate in India is decreasing which is worrying. A society whose population growth (fertility rate) falls below 2.1 gradually gets destroyed. Modern population science also says that if the fertility rate of a society goes below 2.1, then that society will be destroyed. This rate should not go down and for this every family should produce two to three children. A campaign was launched to reduce population through the formula ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’, now Bhagwat has said that there should be at least three children. Mohan Bhagwat has given this statement amidst the discussion of bringing new law and policy on population issue.
The fertility rate in the country has reached 2.1, if the population continues to decline at this rate, the society will not be saved: Sanghwada.

During the Cool conference in Nagpur, the Sangh chief said that family is a part of the society, decline in population is a matter of concern, demography says that if we go below 2.1, the society will be destroyed. No one destroys society, it will destroy itself. The population policy in our country was decided from 1998 to 2002, in which it was also said that the fertility rate should not go below 2.1. We need more than two and that’s three. This number is very important and only then the society will survive otherwise it will be destroyed. Bhagwat said that to ensure that the country’s population growth rate does not go below 2.1, more than two or three children will have to be born.

The Sangh chief has already given a statement on the issue of population growth. Addressing the Dussehra rally in Nagpur in the year 2022, he said that population imbalance is an important issue among the society and it cannot be denied. Due to population imbalance the geographical situation changes. To stop this imbalance of population, there is a need to bring a new population policy for all the people of the society. Questioning China’s one-family-one-child policy, Bhagwat said that we should see what is happening in China, what happens when we try to control the population. China today adopted a one-child policy, except for the elderly.

On the other hand, the opposition also reacted to Mohan Bhagwat’s statement. Congress had said that first give jobs to those who are there, there are no jobs, the land owned by the people has started decreasing in proportion to the population. Congress leader Umang Singhar said that Mohan Bhagwat wants more than two children to be born, unemployment is already high in the country, give jobs to the youth today. China has controlled population growth and has become a superpower. My advice is that Mohan Bhagwat, Narendra Modi or Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should start first, if they are so concerned about population then they should start with them. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that Mohan Bhagwat wants to increase the population but will it benefit the children? Will you give Rs 1500 per month to poor families?
