Hisar, June 22 (HS). Haryana team for the National Championship has been announced from the state's junior boys camp going on at Royal Sports Academy Jind. Five players from Hisar are also included in this team.
The ninth National Junior (boys) Rugby Sevens Football Competition will be organized on 25th and 26th June at Walewadi Sports Complex, Pune. Team coach Pankaj and camp coordinators Muneet Berwal and Jaswant Singh announced the names of the selected players on Saturday. On this occasion, Jind University Sports Director Naresh Deshwal and Jind AEO Kuldeep Ahlawat distributed kits to the selected players. Haryana State Rugby Football Association Secretary Narendra Mor told from Pune that the team has been selected on the basis of points like performance of the players during the camp, team spirit, dedication towards the game, discipline. He told that the team manager will be Rugby India qualified Muneet Berwal and physio will be World Rugby Level 1 qualified Ankesh Sinha.
On this occasion, Sushil Dhanda, Devendra, Rajendra P.T., Jogendra, Suresh, Pappu, Ravinder Malik, Paritosh, Pradeep Lathar from Jind Rugby and Raju Kanoh, Amarjeet Dhanda etc. from Hisar Rugby were present. Abhimanyu Dagar, Happy (Charkhi Dadri), Ankush, Ankit, Lakshya, Rohit, Lalit (all Hisar), Shivam, Aman Chauhan, Aditya, Jagdeep, Sachin Khatkar (all Panchkula) were selected in the team.
