Haryana elections: Congress ready to give 7 seats in alliance, AAP wants 10, will Vinesh-Bajrang be candidates? | News India

Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 Voting is to be held on October 5 for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. All the parties are busy making strategies and finalizing the names of the candidates, however now all eyes are on the possible alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. Both the parties are continuously holding meetings for the alliance. Several rounds of meetings have been held between the two, although the issue of seat sharing is still in dispute. There is also talk of Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia contesting the elections.

Congress ready to give 7 seats, demands 10

According to sources, Aam Aadmi Party is demanding 10 seats in Haryana, while Congress is ready to give seven seats. According to AAP sources, AAP had contested one of the nine Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, so on this basis AAP is demanding 10 assembly seats. Meanwhile, such reports have also come out that Arvind Kejriwal will take the final decision regarding the alliance. Apart from this, the third phase meeting between Congress leader KC Venugopal and AAP leader Raghav Chadha is likely to be held tomorrow on Wednesday.

What was discussed in the CEC meeting?

A meeting of the Congress Election Committee was held regarding the Haryana Assembly elections. According to sources, 49 seats were discussed in the meeting, out of which final talks have been held regarding the names of candidates on about 30 to 35 seats. Haryana Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria said that the CEC meeting will be held tomorrow as well. We will announce the names of all the candidates by Param Divas. The talks of alliance between AAP and Congress are currently in the initial stage. The talks are ongoing.

What did Congress say about Vinesh-Bajrang?

Deepak Babaria said that today a meeting of the Congress Election Committee was held in which 41 seats were discussed. Whereas yesterday we had discussed 49 seats. Regarding giving tickets to Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, he said that he will give a clear answer on this issue in a day or two. There was no discussion on this issue today.
