Haryana Elections 2024: 'Leave Congress, otherwise…', wrestler Bajrang Punia gets death threat | News India

Sonipat: Bajrang Punia, who recently became the working president of Kisan Congress, has received death threats from a foreign number. Bajrang has lodged a complaint in the Bahalgarh police station.

Bajrang has said in the complaint that he has received a threatening message on WhatsApp, which reads, “Bajrang, leave Congress or else it will not be good for you and your family.” This is our last message. What will we show before the elections, what are we?” Where to complain, this is our first and last warning. The police station in-charge says that the complaint is being investigated.

joined on 6th september

Bajrang Punia joined hands with the Congress party on 6 September. He is a bronze medalist in the Tokyo Olympics. As soon as he joined the party, the Congress declared him the working president of the All India Kisan Congress.

He also met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi on September 6. Vinesh Phogat has also joined the party along with him.

What did Punia say on joining Congress?

Bajrang Punia said that we would like to thank all the Congress leaders who stood by us in difficult times. BJP IT cell said that their motive was to do politics, we had sent them (BJP) a letter.

We sent letters to all the women MPs of BJP, but still they did not stand with the women players. Congress came there unannounced and supported them. Just like we have worked hard in wrestling, we will work hard in the party and take it forward. We will fight strongly.
