Congress's dream of alliance shattered
As soon as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced three lists of 40 candidates for Haryana assembly elections, the dream of alliance with Congress has been shattered. Some time ago, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi had held a meeting with state Congress leaders and hinted at an alliance. But due to two votes in the party and some conditions of AAP, the alliance could not happen.
Congress was giving weak seats to AAP
According to Congress leaders, the biggest reason for the non-alignment between Congress and AAP was the selection of seats. Congress was not ready to give up seats like Kalayat, Pehowa, Jind, Guhla and Sohna. Whereas according to AAP sources, Congress was giving them weak seats.
