The campaigning of 190 candidates contesting the Haryana Assembly elections is going on. If we look at the previous elections, at least 1031 candidates are contesting in the last three elections. There was competition between 1351 candidates in 2014 and 1169 candidates in 2019 in 90 constituencies. After the fierce battle of the last two days, Congress returned the nomination papers of 36 of its rebels and BJP returned the nomination papers of 33 rebels.

However, these rebels have now supported the party's candidate. A big change has been seen in Haryana's Sirsa assembly seat. Here BJP candidate Rohtas Jangra withdrew his nomination. It is believed that now BJP will support Gopal Kanda.

How many nomination papers were withdrawn from which seat?

Out of the 190 candidates who rebelled in the election and withdrew their nomination papers as independent candidates, the highest number of 23 are from Hisar. Other districts include 15 from Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Gurugram, 13 from Bhiwani and Jind, 12 from Sirsa, 10 from Karnal, 9 from Jhajjar, 7 from Faridabad and Sonipat, 6 each from Fatehabad and Panipat, Yamunanagar and Panchkula. 5 each from Rohtak and Ambala, 4 each from Rohtak and Ambala, 3 each from Dadri and Rewari and two independent candidates from Nuh withdrew their nominations. After the cancellation of nominations of 338 candidates on Friday, 1221 candidates are left. Now after the withdrawal of nominations, 1031 wrestlers are participating in the final list.

What is the caste equation of Hisar?

There are 31 thousand Punjabi, 24 thousand Bania, 17 thousand Saini, 16 thousand Jat and 11 thousand Brahmin voters in Hisar. The contest has become interesting due to the entry of strong candidates from all castes like Bania, Punjabi and Saini. Savitri Jindal, who contested from this seat on a Congress ticket in the Hisar by-election held due to the death of OP Jindal, won by a margin of 102331 votes. In the 17 elections held so far on the Hisar seat, 14 MLAs were Vaishya, twice Punjabi and once Saini. There is a good number of Vaishya voters in the Hisar assembly seat. If we talk about the total voters in Hisar city, there are 87243 male voters and 777782 female voters.
