Gurugram, August 5 (HS). Hariyali Teej was celebrated with great pomp in Sector-17B as a symbol of women empowerment. On this occasion, the Empowered Divas Sector-17B group reinforced the message of women empowerment.
The group members Rekha Gupta, Rashmi Dixit, Suman Sharma, Meena Saxena, Kanika Rai, Ayushi Gupta, Sonia Kaushik, Preeti Sharma and Rashi Mahajan played a vital role in making the event a success. The grand event took place at St. PBN School where everyone enjoyed the traditional celebration. Stalls of various regional traditional food items were set up in the event which included local delicious dishes. These stalls made everyone feel the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine. Swings were arranged for the children which made this special day even more joyous. The children enjoyed the swings and made the occasion even more memorable.
Colourful presentations were given by children in the program, which captivated everyone. Special games were organized for the elderly, in which they participated enthusiastically and refreshed their childhood memories. Along with this, various games were also organized for couples, which made the atmosphere even more joyful. Local councilor Rimple Yadav also attended the program as a special guest. She not only appreciated the event, but also contributed from her side. In her statement, she said, such events of women empowerment help in bringing positive change in the society. This event not only became a source of entertainment, but also became a medium to unite women and highlight their important role in the society.
