Harish Rawat objected to the decision of government employees to participate in RSS programs | News India

Dehradun, September 07 (HS). Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat has objected to the state government's decision to allow government employees to participate in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) programs. He said that this will break the principle of impartiality of the Constitution. However, he has described RSS as a nationalist and nation-friendly organization.

Talking to the media on Saturday, Harish Rawat said that there is no doubt about the patriotism of RSS, but the government's decision to allow government employees to join RSS branches will destroy our basic structure and the basic structure that has democracy as its flag bearer. This should be seriously considered.

Recently, the central government lifted the ban on government employees participating in RSS activities. Various state governments, including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, have already lifted the ban on government employees being associated with RSS. Two days ago, the Uttarakhand government also lifted the ban.
