Haridwar, 03 December (HS). The four-day BHEL Inter-Unit Cricket Tournament, organized under the aegis of BHEL Sports Club Haridwar, concluded on Tuesday. Teams from 15 units, the highest ever in the history of BHEL, participated in the tournament.
The final match of the competition was played between the teams of BHEL Haridwar and BHEL Bhopal. In this, Haridwar defeated Bhopal by 14 runs and captured the trophy. Awarding the winners, BHEL Haridwar Executive Director TS Murali said that through inter-unit competitions, employees of different units get an opportunity to interact with each other. He said that the positive energy received from sports inspires to do better in the work field.
In the tournament, Vikrant Kori of Bhopal team was given the Man of the Tournament award and Sachin Maggu of Haridwar team was given the Man of the Match award. On this occasion, patron of the sports club Augustin Khakha etc. were present.
