Mumbai Police has arrested cricketer Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya's step brother Vaibhav Pandya in a high-profile case. Vaibhav has allegedly defrauded the Pandya brothers of about Rs 4.3 crore in business partnership. According to reports, 37-year-old Vaibhav is accused of embezzling around Rs 4.3 crore from a partnership firm, causing huge losses to the Pandya brothers. In this case, the Economy Office Branch of Mumbai Police has arrested Vaibhav Pandya on charges of fraud and forgery.
According to the report, three years ago the three brothers together had established the polymer business. In this, the cricketer brothers had to invest 40-40%, while Vaibhav had to contribute 20% and the responsibility of looking after the operations was also on him. The distribution of profit share was also decided in a similar manner. Vaibhav allegedly created a farm in the same business without informing his step-brothers and violated the partnership. Vaibhav increased his profit share from 20 percent to 33.3 percent. This led to a decline in profit sharing, causing a loss of Rs 3 crore to the Pandya brothers.
It is being told that Vaibhav transferred an amount of more than Rs 1 crore from the partnership farm account to his own account without informing anyone. When the Pandya brothers asked him for an answer, he threatened to defame them. After this, the Pandya brothers lodged a complaint of fraud of Rs 4.3 crore against Vaibhav Pandya with the police.
