Indian team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has a long association with controversies. He is constantly in some controversy or the other. Recently, when he suddenly left Gujarat Titans and returned to Mumbai Indians and was made the captain of Mumbai by snatching the captaincy from Rohit, there were a lot of controversies regarding the captaincy. There was an uproar on social media and an atmosphere of Rohit vs Hardik was created. But now Hardik Pandya is embroiled in a new controversy before IPL 2024. Out of the team due to heart injury
Hardik has not played cricket for the last 5 months. He has been ruled out of the ODI World Cup 2023 squad due to injury. Now that IPL 2024 is near, he has started showing himself fit. Meanwhile, before the IPL, he came to play in a special tournament of Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA). When Hardik came out to bat while playing for the Reliance team, he was accused of breaking BCCI rules.
Which rule did Hardik break?
When Hardik Pandya came to bat in the DY Patil tournament, his helmet had the BCCI logo and the tricolor on it. But according to BCCI rules, no player can use the BCCI logo in any domestic tournament. This logo is used only when a player gets a chance to play in the team selected by BCCI. You cannot use helmets with BCCI logo in any Under-19 domestic tournament, Ranji, Syed Mushtaq or anywhere else. Now that Hardik has broken this rule and gets into trouble in the future, it remains to be seen whether any action will be taken against him.
Hardik fit to play IPL
Even before this, Hardik Pandya had suddenly got injured and was ruled out of T20 World Cup 2021. After this he returned directly before the IPL. There also he came to play as captain for Gujarat Titans. Now the same has happened this time also. Hardik was out since the ODI World Cup.
