Dehradun, 26 April (HS). After receiving training at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Academy in Mussoorie, 53 officers took the oath of allegiance to the Constitution and the force. These also include the trainees of the 54th GoS Combatization Course, who have come from different states. In the grand convocation and swearing-in ceremony, these young officers expressed their commitment to the country. The Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force encouraged these young officers by decorating their shoulders with stars.
During rigorous and long training, these officers have been given intensive training in military and police related subjects like combat skills, weapon handling, physical training, intelligence, map study, military administration, law and human rights. Among these passing out officers, the trainees of the 54th GOS Combatization Course are from different states of the country. These include eight each from Kerala and Rajasthan, five from Tamil Nadu, four from Uttar Pradesh, three each from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Manipur, two each from Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, Pondicherry and Bihar, Assam, There is one trainee each from Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Academy's Inspector General/Director PS Dangwal welcomed the officers and Academy's Deputy Inspector General-Deputy Director Rajesh Sharma expressed his thanks. During this period, the Academy's Deputy Inspector General-Deputy Director Administration was Ajay Pal Singh, Fighter (Administration) Shobhan Singh Rana, Fighter (Training) Jiju S etc.
