“Har Ghar Tiranga” program organized in the university | News India

Itanagar, August 14 (HS). Rajiv Gandhi University of Arunachal Pradesh today celebrated 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign was organised in the University along with the entire nation, marking the 78th Independence Day of India with a series of engaging and reflective activities.

A bike rally displaying the national flag Tricolour was organised which filled the university campus with energy. The rally was flagged off by Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha from the main auditorium.

Faculty members, staff, students, research scholars and NSS and NCC students participated in the rally enthusiastically. The bike rally passed through the university grounds. Symbolically, the tricolour was hoisted in every corner of the campus.

Professor Kushwaha stressed on the role of awareness in promoting national pride and expressed his views on the importance of displaying the tricolour at home and vehicles.

RGU Registrar Dr NT Rickam highlighted the dual significance of the day by underlining the importance of both the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign and the observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

Joint Registrar Dr. David Partin spoke on respect and care of the national flag and urged everyone to maintain its dignity.
