Shimla, 2 November (HS). The weather remained clear in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. In the plain parts of the state, warmth is being felt due to sunshine and the maximum temperature is being recorded normal. However, due to drop in minimum temperature, shivering is going away in the nights. Interestingly, the nights of plain districts Hamirpur and Una are colder than the hill station Shimla. On Saturday, the minimum temperature recorded in Shimla was 11 degrees Celsius, while in Una it was 10.2 degrees and in Hamirpur it was 10.3 degrees Celsius.
It is extremely cold in the tribal areas and the mercury has reached below zero. Tabo in Lahaul-Spiti district recorded a minimum temperature of -2.5 degrees Celsius. This was the coldest place in the state. In Lahaul-Spiti, the mercury was 0.6 degrees in Kukumseri, 3.6 degrees in Keylong and 8.6 degrees in Samdho. Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded 4.6 degrees and Reckong Peo recorded 8.5 degrees. The cold has become severe even in the famous hill station Manali. The minimum temperature recorded here was 6.6 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, it was 8.9 degrees in Sundernagar, 8.1 degrees in Bhuntar, 8.9 degrees in Solan, 9 degrees in Narkanda and Sarahan, 12 degrees in Kufri, 8.6 degrees in Barthin, 12 in Bilaspur, 12.2 in Kangra, 10.7 in Bharmour, 11.2 in Mashobra, It was 11.8 degrees Celsius in Dalhousie and 11.9 degrees Celsius in Chamba.
According to Meteorological Center Shimla, the average minimum temperature of the state has fallen by 0.4 degrees during the last 24 hours. He said that there is no possibility of change in weather i.e. rain or snowfall for a week. The weather will remain clear in the entire state till November 8. There will be no major change in maximum and minimum temperatures during this period.
