Attic: Indian woman Hamida Bano became a victim of deception by Indian agents and returned to her homeland via Wagah-Attari border, almost 25 years after fleeing to Pakistan via Dubai. On this occasion, Hamida Bano was provided a wheel chair as soon as she entered the Attari border and after a long time, when she reached her homeland, her eyes filled with tears. On reaching Attari border, Hamida Bano was warmly welcomed with hugs by her sister Shaida Mosin, daughter Jasmine Shaikh, brother Abdul Nabi Shaikh, Bhanve Amar Shaikh and other relatives.
Hamida Bano told that 25 years ago she got caught in the clutches of Indian agents and wrongly reached Pakistan via Dubai, but despite living in Pakistan for so long, she did not get Pakistani citizenship and got Indian residence. Indian passport was issued by the Embassy in Islamabad (Pakistan) to visit India from 11 December 2024 to 17 December 2024, through which she returned to her homeland today.
On this occasion, Indian Immigration and Customs officers handed over their papers to Naib Tehsildar Harsimran Singh, Gurjant Singh and Daljit Singh, who proceeded with them to Amritsar.
