Kanpur, 20 February (HS). According to the weather forecast, cloud movement continued in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. It rained locally in eastern Uttar Pradesh including Bundelkhand. There were strong winds along with hailstorm in the areas of Mahoba and Hamirpur. The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain like this for the next three days and there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with strong winds from western to eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Tuesday that the western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over northern Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. The induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining areas of Pakistan. The jet stream with a maximum speed of 155 knots remains 12.6 km above mean sea level over North India. Due to these weather activities, changes are being seen once again in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. Today, locally there was light to moderate rain in many districts and there was hailstorm along with rain in the areas of Bundelkhand. There is a possibility of rain for the next three days and farmers should not irrigate their crops these days.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 29.0 and the minimum temperature was 13.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 89 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 52 percent. The direction of the winds was north-west with an average speed of 8.8 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, due to light to moderate clouds in Kanpur in the next five days, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with strong winds, thunderstorms and hailstorm at local level between February 20 and 23.
