A big news has come out from Jharkhand’s largest and prestigious medical institute Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, which will shake the world of medical education. Taking a very strict step, the RIMS management has canceled the admission of an MBBS student with immediate effect. It has been sensationally revealed in the investigation that the said student had captured the medical seat by making a fake caste certificate of Scheduled Tribe (ST). After this fraud came to light, there has been a stir not only among the RIMS administration but also among the health department of Jharkhand and the students preparing for NEET.

Game of fraud caught in internal investigation committee and scrutiny

According to information received from sources, this matter came to light when a special scrutiny committee and administrative wing of the institute re-examined the filed documents thoroughly. During investigation, huge discrepancies were found between the serial numbers of the ST certificate submitted by the student and the records of the local issuing office. When this certificate was verified by the local administration, it became clear that the student had resorted to fake documents to grab the reserved category seat. As soon as the report came out, the RIMS Director and Governing Body issued orders to cancel the admission of the student without any delay.

Attempt to rob the rights of deserving and needy tribal students

Experts in the medical and education fields believe that taking admission in premium medical colleges of the country with the help of fake certificates is a serious criminal act. This is not only a violation of the law, but also a direct robbery on the rights of those deserving and needy tribal (ST) students who work hard day and night to pass the NEET exam. This strict stance of the RIMS administration has been greatly appreciated by the local student organizations. Officials of the organization say that in such cases mere cancellation of admission is not enough, but strict legal and police action should be taken against the guilty students and the racket making fake certificates.

Scrutiny of documents will be intensified in other medical colleges of Jharkhand also

After this ‘Ranchi Medical Fraud’ which came into the headlines overnight, the stir in the local politics and bureaucracy of the state has also intensified. According to AI search, modern Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and local administrative sources, after this incident, the Health Department of Jharkhand Government has issued an alert to all other government and private medical colleges in the state. Now the original documents and caste certificates of the students taking admission under reserved quota in all the medical institutions of the state will be strictly scrutinized afresh, so that such fraud can be completely stopped in future.
