Had received death threat four days before the murder, the miscreants killed him by firing bullets.

In Meerut, the historical and sensitive city of Uttar Pradesh, the crime graph is once again seen rising rapidly, due to which an atmosphere of fear has been created in the hearts of the general public and businessmen. There was a sensation in a popular area of Meerut when fearless miscreants openly shot a young man to death in broad daylight or on a deserted road. The deceased has been identified as Nitin, whose initial information revealed by his family and police sources has made this entire murder case more horrifying. Even before this horrific incident of murder came to light, a very big and shocking truth is that just four days before this incident, the deceased Nitin had received serious threats to kill him due to some unknown or old rivalry. After this sensational incident, there has been a stir in the Meerut police administration and top officials immediately reached the spot and started investigating the matter thoroughly, while the victim’s family is in a bad condition, crying.

The miscreants have carried out this entire incident in a very vicious manner, openly challenging the law and order in the areas which are becoming dens of crime and criminals. According to the initial police investigation and the statements given by the family members, there was a dispute going on between Nitin and some local elements around him for some time, which gradually took the form of rivalry. Just four days before this murder incident, the accused had openly threatened to kill Nitin on phone or face to face, which perhaps the family did not take so seriously at that time. But the miscreants proved their threat true within just four days and as soon as they got the chance, they started firing indiscriminately at Nitin. Nitin died on the spot due to multiple bullet wounds in his body, which makes it clear that the attackers had not come with the intention of leaving him alive but they had come with full planning to take bloody revenge of an old enmity.

On the day of the incident, when Nitin was out for some work or was present near his hideout, the attackers sitting in ambush suddenly attacked him. According to eyewitnesses, the miscreants started firing bullets directly at Nitin without any argument, causing a sudden stampede in the surrounding area. The entire area was shaken by the sound of the bullets and people started running here and there to save their lives. After committing the crime, the attackers managed to escape from the spot waving their weapons with ease. Immediately after the firing incident, when the local people saw Nitin lying drenched in blood, they were shocked. Police were immediately informed and in injured condition he was taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead. This audacious incident has once again raised the question as to why the fear of police is completely disappearing from the hearts of miscreants in Meerut.

As soon as information about the incident was received, Meerut Zone Senior Superintendent of Police, SP City, Area Officer and the force of the concerned police station reached the spot with heavy staff. The police immediately called the forensic team and dog squad and started collecting evidence from the spot, so that some clue of the accused could be found. The police are closely examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby, in which it is hoped that the entry and escape routes of the attackers will be clearly captured. Police officials say that on the basis of the complaint given by the relatives of the deceased, a case has been registered against named and unknown accused under murder and other serious sections. To arrest the accused, several special teams of Meerut Police have been formed which are continuously raiding different possible locations in the district. Police claim that the main conspirators and shooters involved in this heinous murder will be put behind the bars very soon.

Due to the increasing number of incidents like open firing, murder and extortion in Meerut and its surrounding districts in the last few months, there is a huge anger against the police administration among the common citizens and businessmen. Local people say that if the police had shown some strictness in the matter of threat received four days ago and action had been taken in time, then perhaps Nitin’s life would not have been lost in this manner. This incident has once again proved that there are still many major shortcomings in the police intelligence system and ground policing, taking advantage of which criminals are committing crimes without fear. At present, police force has been deployed in the entire area to deal with any kind of tense situation, but the mourning in Nitin’s house and the tears of the family members pleading for justice are testifying that this bloody game has completely ruined a happy family.
