But on Monday, a day before the voting, District Magistrate Ruchika Chauhan also got angry with the scene seen at the voting material distribution site in MLB College and she scolded the employees. At the same time, among the women employees who came to collect material for voting, there were women who had innocent children in their lap. Women had come since 5 in the morning to perform their election duty. Similarly, on the other hand, there were also employees under similar pretext, who were seen carrying documents of illness to avoid election duty. On the other hand, a huge crowd of employees was seen at the counter made for taking applications.
Election material was distributed on Monday at 1680 polling stations earmarked for voting in all the six assembly constituencies of the district. This entire process was done in MLB College, Assembly wise 123 Sector. In the distribution program, first of all the material was given to the polling parties of Gwalior Rural, Bhitarwar and Dabra Assembly. For this, the teams here were also instructed to be present in the college campus at 5 in the morning. After this, material was distributed in Assembly Gwalior, Gwalior South and Gwalior East from 8 am. Due to which all the employees and officers reached the college in the morning with their bags full of clothes.
Special arrangements were made to protect from the heat: To protect from the heat during material distribution, fans throwing water spray were installed in the MLB, along with big coolers were also installed. Everyone was instructed to give the material at their place, but when District Magistrate Ruchika Chauhan reached, she saw many people sitting idle on the table with their hands folded. Expressing displeasure on this, he said that you people are sitting here, when the numbers of polling parties have been written, why are you not starting to keep the material. After this the officials left the table and started distributing the material. The Collector discussed with the polling parties as well as the soldiers deployed for security.
