Gwalior, 21 April (HS). General Observer Krishna Aditya, appointed by the Election Commission of India for the Lok Sabha elections in the district, took a meeting of the nodal officers related to the elections on Sunday. He also gave guidelines to ensure strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission. Along with this, he also talked about continuous monitoring of vehicle checking being done at established checkpoints. In the meeting held in the auditorium of the Collectorate here, Collector and District Election Officer Ruchika Chauhan gave detailed information about the preparations made in connection with the elections.
He said that a 24-hour media monitoring cell is working in the divisional public relations office under the supervision of the Media Monitoring and Certification Committee (MCMC) to keep an eye on the election advertisements and paid news broadcast on print, electronic and social media.
Additional Superintendent of Police said that adequate police force has been included in every FST and SST. Suspicious vehicles are being intensively checked at various SST points including the border checkpoints of the district.
Collector and District Election Officer Ruchika Chauhan informed in the meeting that 18 Flying Squad (FST), 22 Static Surveillance Team (SST), 18 Video Surveillance Team (VST) and 6 Video Viewing Team (VVT) have been deployed as expenditure monitoring teams in Gwalior district. ) have been deployed. To maintain accounts of election campaign expenditure in the district, 7 accounting teams, 7 district AC control rooms, a district Grievance Committee and an MCMC have been formed. Besides, a district level expenditure monitoring cell has been formed.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Harsh Singh, District Panchayat CEO Vivek Kumar Singh, ADM Anju Arun Kumar, ADM TN Singh, Additional SP and all the nodal officers related to elections were present in the meeting.
Observer Aditya did surprise inspection of SST points
General Observer Krishna Aditya, appointed by the Election Commission of India to monitor the elections in Gwalior parliamentary constituency, conducted a surprise inspection of the SST checkpoints on Sunday. During this time, he saw the process and action being taken by SST for investigation at the checkpoints.
During the inspection of SST checkpoints installed at Vicky Factory Tiraha and Neelkanth intersection Sirol, Observer Krishna Aditya directed to check suspicious vehicles closely. Illegal money and any other suspicious thing which could influence the voters should not be allowed to pass through.
