Gwalior: 8189 cases resolved through mutual agreement in National Lok Adalat

As per the guidelines of Executive Chairman, National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur, the fourth and final National Lok Adalat of the current year was organized on Saturday. National Lok Adalat was organized in District Court, Family Court, Labor Court, Railway Court and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Also, 71 division benches constituted for this Lok Adalat held in Civil Court, Dabra and Bhitarwar, got 8 thousand 189 cases resolved on the basis of mutual agreement and awards amounting to more than Rs 31 crore 76 lakh 75 thousand were passed. 10 thousand 945 persons were benefited in the district through National Lok Adalat.

After the inauguration of the National Lok Adalat, Principal District Judge PC Gupta, while addressing the newly appointed paralegal volunteers (Adhikar Mitras), also provided guidance regarding their role in providing the benefits of public welfare schemes of the government to the common people of the society and the National Lok Adalat. Did. The civil dispute that had been going on for 20 years was settled in the court of Civil Judge Upma Bhargava in an agreement.

District Legal Aid Officer Deepak Sharma said that in the resolved cases, awards amounting to about Rs 23 crore 95 lakh 04 thousand 32 were passed in 1707 cases pending in the courts. Apart from this, an amount of more than Rs 7 crore 81 lakh 71 thousand was recovered through Lok Adalat in 6 thousand 475 litigation cases of Bank, Municipality and Electricity. The resolved cases included 242 motor accident cases, 337 check bounce cases, 624 criminal cases, 58 matrimonial cases, 150 civil cases, 188 electrical cases and 06 labor department cases. This time, 22 cases were also resolved by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Chairman Shri Rajendra Prasad Sharma (Chief Justice Cadre) through National Lok Adalat. In which awards worth 74 lakh 70 thousand 130 were passed.

About 500 shady, flowering and fruit bearing plants were also distributed in the form of Justice Trees, courtesy of the Forest Department, to the parties resolving the cases in the National Lok Adalat.

Family property dispute resolved after 20 years, third generation gets justice

A family property dispute in Gwalior District Court was resolved in a settlement after 20 years. In which the parties claiming the family property did not get their rights even after fighting a legal battle for twenty years and their third generation became a party in the case as the heir. The said case was resolved in a loving and cordial manner through mutual reconciliation in the division bench of Civil Judge Upma Bhargava in the National Lok Adalat. The said family dispute Kusumalata vs Deepika, which was instituted on 19 November 2004, was resolved in the National Lok Adalat in December 2024 under the guidance of Principal District Judge PC Gupta. The original parties in the said case had died and their second generation was also resolved. But had not reached. But with the case being resolved in the National Lok Adalat, it has become clear that the alternative dispute resolution system is a better option for resolving legal disputes in the court.

National Lok Adalat of High Court resolved 452 cases

A total of 452 cases were resolved on the basis of mutual consent by three benches in the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday at the High Court Division Bench, Gwalior. Besides, additional compensation of Rs 4 crore 50 lakh 1 thousand was given to the aggrieved parties in motor accident claim appeal cases.

National Lok Adalat was organized at the High Court Division Bench Gwalior on Saturday under the guidance of Chief Justice and Chief Protector State Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur and the guidance of Administrative Justice Anand Pathak, Administrative Justice High Court Division Bench, Gwalior. To resolve the cases in this National Lok Adalat, Justice Shri Anand Pathak and Senior Advocate Shri N.K. Gupta, Justice G.S. Ahluwalia and Senior Advocate M.P.S. The cases were resolved on the basis of mutual consent by the division benches of Justice Raghuvanshi and Justice Rupesh Chandra Varshney and Advocate PC Chandil.
