Gurugram, June 17 (HS). Gurugram police has arrested 3 accused of cyber fraud. With their arrest, 3465 complaints of cyber fraud worth about 11 crore 65 lakh rupees have been revealed across India. On Monday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Cyber Crime Priyanshu Diwan said that police teams of cyber crime police stations of Gurugram have solved these incidents by arresting these accused.
The arrested cyber fraud accused Sonu resident of Parshuram Colony Thanesar District Kurukshetra and Tribhuvan resident of Noyavad Coke Plant Bas Jora Dhanbad (Jharkhand) were arrested by investigation officer SI Ashok and his team at Police Station Cyber Crime West Gurugram. Naveen Kumar resident of Telpuri Gurugram was arrested by investigation officer PSI Deepak at Police Station Cyber Manesar. The 2 mobile phones recovered by the police from the possession of the accused were investigated/data examined by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center. During this, it was found that a total of 3465 complaints and 165 cases have been registered against the accused in connection with fraud of about 11 crore 65 lakh rupees across the country. Out of these cases, 10 cases are registered in the police stations of Haryana.
2 cases are registered in Cyber Crime West Gurugram Police Station and 1 case is registered in Cyber Crime Manesar Police Station. In the investigation conducted by Gurugram Police, it was revealed that the accused used to commit fraud by cheating people by getting them to transfer money through social media. The police team recovered 2 mobile phones from the possession of the accused. Investigation of these revealed the fraud cases.
