Gurugram. Assembly elections were completed peacefully in the district on Saturday. A lot of hard work was done by the district administration and election office to bring common and special people to the polling stations. Booths were also made in societies. Officers appointed in Gurugram and those appointed outside the state worked to motivate the people by voting in Gurugram district.
The voting process started at 7 am after the mock poll on Saturday morning. The polling parties, which reached the polling stations a day before with complete preparations, played an important role in completing the voting process. Despite the heat on Saturday, enthusiasm was visible among the voters. The voting percentage in Gurugram crossed 50 percent by 5 pm. 50.6 percent voting took place at 5 pm. To increase the attraction towards polling stations, special polling stations were also created. Pink booths were also made here. Voters were welcomed at the polling stations by giving them balloons.
DC and District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav voted along with his wife. He voted along with his wife Dr. Preeti at the model booth number 230 in the SDO Panchayati Raj office located at Civil Lines. Gurgaon Assembly Constituency Returning Officer and SDM Ravindra Kumar along with his wife Darshana voted at booth number 85 in DAV School, Sector-14. He said on this occasion that all citizens must vote. SDM Ravindra Kumar said that the voting process is going on peacefully in Gurgaon assembly constituency since Saturday morning. There are 435 polling stations in Gurgaon Assembly. He hopes that this time the voting percentage will increase than before.
IAS officer Sachin Sharma from Himachal also arrived to cast his vote.
IAS officer of the year 2022 batch in Himachal Pradesh cadre, SDM Sachin Sharma in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh gave a big message by showing interest in voting. He came from Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and cast his vote in Badshahpur assembly constituency. Sachin Sharma took leave to vote on October 5 and reached home and voted along with his parents. Retired IAS RK Verma also voted in Gurugram. Along with his daughter-in-law Dr. Monica, he also inspired people to vote by showing the ink on their fingers.
