Speaking at the annual conference of the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC), Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that the government is striving to empower the deprived section of the society through skill development. He said this while addressing the annual conference of the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) on Monday.

In this program organized on the theme of cooperation, strong, dynamic and successful, veteran leaders of the automobile industry, policy makers, skilled teachers, trainers etc. were also present. Ramdas Athawale said that the automotive sector offers many opportunities for the youth of India, and through ASDC's program we can ensure this. It is important that we focus on training and certifying the youth, so that they can be successful. ASDC President F.R. Singhvi talked about the important role of skill development in addressing the challenges of the automotive industry. He said that as the automotive sector evolves, the need for skilled professionals increases. The progress of the industry can be ensured by empowering the youth with skills and knowledge. Vinkesh Gulati, Vice President, ASDC, in his speech highlighted the importance of collaboration to promote innovation. He said that the Indian automotive sector is growing rapidly. Due to which the need for skilled workforce is increasing. This is where the role of skill training and ASDC becomes paramount. The future of our automotive industry depends on how well we work together to empower both individuals and organizations. Through collaboration, we can strengthen the skills ecosystem, thereby ensuring that India remains competitive on the global stage. The conclave also saw panel discussions on skill development through CSR support in which representatives from companies like Bajaj, Toyota and Hero MotoCorp participated. In line with its commitment towards skill development, Bajaj launched Bajaj Excellence in Skill Training program focusing on Robotics and Automation for graduates and diploma holders. ASDC has been made the assessment and certification partner for this programme. Due to which the youth will get employment opportunities along with industry based training.
