Gurugram, September 17 (HS). Police has succeeded in arresting 5 accused while planning a robbery. Police has recovered 3 pistols, 4 live cartridges and 1 iron rod from the accused.
According to the information, on the night of 16/17 September 2024, Sector-31 Crime Branch In-charge Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar received information through sources about some persons planning to commit robbery with weapons near Water Tank Huda Park Sector-40. Regarding this information, the police team of Police Crime Branch Sector-31 formed a team to nab the persons / accused mentioned in the information. The police team was given special instructions and raided the place mentioned in the information. As a result of prompt and effective action taken by the police, a major success was achieved in arresting 5 persons / accused red-handed while planning robbery near Water Tank Huda Park Sector-40.
The accused were identified as Akash alias Happy resident of Laxmi Nagar district Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Priyanshu resident of Vishwakarma Colony village Basai, Gurugram, Shivam Kumar resident of village Jobe district Aurangabad (Bihar), Sonu resident of village Gopalganj district Chhapra (Bihar) and Vijay alias Gullu Vikas Nagar village Vasai, Gurugram. The accused were arrested after a case was registered against them at Sector 40 police station in Gurugram for planning a robbery while being armed.
The criminal records of the accused revealed that accused Akash has 5 cases registered against him in Gurugram for various crimes including robbery, assault, theft, accused Priyanshu has 4 cases registered against him in Gurugram in connection with assault, robbery, accused Vijay alias Gullu has 2 cases registered against him for theft and under Arms Act in Gurugram and accused Shivam has one case registered against him in connection with snatching in Gurugram.
