Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan has got relief from the High Court. The case was related to hurting religious sentiments in Nakodar in 2021. Let us tell you that the HC has approved the cancellation of the complaint and the complaint has already been quashed in the Nakodar court. The Nakodar court dismissed this complaint on 22 February. A petition was filed in the High Court for the decision to dismiss the complaint, which has been dismissed today.
In 2021, petitioner Harjinder Singh alias Jhinda filed an FIR with 26 charges under Section 295-A at the Nakodar City Police Station. The complaint said that Gurdas Maan had said during an event that Sikh Guru Amar Das Ji and Ladi Sai Ji belong to the same lineage, following which he came into controversy. Although Gurdas Maan had publicly apologised for this, a case was still registered against him.
