Gujarat Weather: The rain system has become active once again in Gujarat. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the state for the next 5 days from today. Due to four rain systems being active simultaneously in the state, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Gujarat for the next three days. A red alert for rain has been issued in four districts today.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Bharuch and Surat where heavy to very heavy rains are expected. Apart from this, very heavy rains are also expected in Banaskantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Bharuch, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi and Daman as well as Dadra Nagar Haveli today.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Mahisagar and Amreli as well as Bhavnagar on Tuesday. While an orange alert has been issued for Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued in the state from September 4 to 7. It includes parts of South Gujarat, Central Gujarat, Saurashtra-Kutch and North Gujarat.

In the last 24 hours, Bharuch, Tapi, Dang, Surat received the most rainfall in Gujarat. The highest rainfall was recorded in Vala taluka of Bharuch district at 12 inches. Then, 10.5 inches of rain fell in Songadh of Tapi. Vyara also received nine inches of rain. Daheli village of Valia has been submerged. Desad and Sodgam of Valia have also been flooded. The water of Vankhadi and Kim rivers has returned to the village. The road from Valia to Mangrol and Ankleshwar has been flooded.

Lunawada received five and a half inches of rain in the last 24 hours. Veerpur taluka received four and a half inches of rain. Balasinor received four inches of rain. Khanpur, Kadana, Santrampur received three inches of rain each. High alert has been declared as Kadana dam of Mahisagar district is 94.81 percent full. Currently, 57 thousand 818 cusecs of water is flowing into the dam, while 45 thousand 180 cusecs of water has been drained out. Water is being released into the river by opening five gates of the dam. Due to the release of water from the dam, the coastal areas have been alerted.

Meteorologist Ambalal Patel has predicted heavy rains in many areas of the state. According to his forecast, another rain system will come in the state. At the same time, there is also a possibility of heavy rains at many places. There will be light rain in Saurashtra and North Gujarat, heavy rains in Central Gujarat. Also, rain systems will form one after the other in the Bay of Bengal. Therefore, heavy to very heavy rains can occur in many parts of the state including South Gujarat, Central Gujarat.
