Gujarat Weather: A strong system formed over Gujarat turned into a deep depression and there was heavy rainfall here. Today this system is slowly moving towards Pakistan via Kutch and the Arabian Sea. Due to which the intensity of rain is expected to slow down in the rest of the areas except Kutch and Saurashtra.
However, another system is likely to come towards Gujarat. Very heavy rains are expected in five districts of Gujarat today. A red alert has been issued in Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Dwarka, Porbandar districts today.
Five districts Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Girsomnath, Amreli districts are on orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains. Yellow alert for heavy rains has been issued in 22 districts including Ahmedabad.
After four days of cloudburst, the intensity and quantity of rain has now reduced. The intensity of rain has reduced in most areas except Kutch district. However, in the last 24 hours, 222 talukas have received rain. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kutch district. Apart from this, 7.5 inches of rain was also recorded in Dwarka.
According to the data of the Meteorological Department, from 6 am on Thursday to 2 am on Friday, rain was recorded in 222 talukas of Gujarat. The highest rainfall was recorded in Kutch and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts.
Today, a cyclone will form in the Arabian Sea over Saurashtra-Kutch region of Gujarat, which is expected to move towards the coast of Oman. Due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain in Kutch and Saurashtra. These areas have been put on red alert. Fishermen have also been advised not to go to sea for the next few days. For the next two days, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 60-65 km per hour in the coastal and sea areas of Gujarat and North Maharashtra.
