Weather of Gujarat: The heat has reached its peak in Gujarat. The temperature has reached 42 degrees Celsius. The highest heat in the state was recorded in Surendranagar. Yellow alert has been declared in Kutch and Saurashtra.
The weather department has predicted the temperature to exceed 43 degrees. The temperature has increased in most cities. Temperature crossed 42 degrees in 3 cities. Very hot weather is expected again in the state from tomorrow.
According to the Meteorological Department, Kutch and Saurashtra will be most affected by the heat wave. Heat wave is expected in Porbandar, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath and Kutch. Heat wave alert has been issued in the state from May 5 to 7.
According to IMD, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 42.3 degrees in Surendranagar, 42.3 degrees in Rajkot, 42 degrees in Amreli, 41.7 degrees in Ahmedabad, 41.2 degrees in Gandhinagar, 40.8 degrees in Vadodara, 40.6 degrees in Bhuj. 39.8 degrees in Surat. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at 32 degrees in Dwarka.
The system has advised not to leave the house between 12 noon and 4 pm without work. Apart from this, suggestions have also been given by the Meteorological Department for protection from heat. Which includes not coming in contact with direct sunlight, wearing light colored and cotton clothes, keeping the head covered, etc.
Children, pregnant women and the elderly are advised to drink enough water. Along with this, home made lemonade, fennel sherbet, ORS, buttermilk, lassi, fruit juices should be consumed. While leaving the house, one should keep an umbrella, hat and towel on the head.
