GST appeal process will be completely online | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

From now on, parties can easily apply online to resolve GST disputes. A special portal is being developed for this. Which will be auspicious for the party. The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) will make the application process in the GST Appellate Tribunal completely online. A portal is likely to be developed to fully manage all the benches of the tribunal for the said purpose. Since, the tribunal has a principal bench in New Delhi and various state benches. The principal bench of GSTN in New Delhi is expected to start functioning between July and August.

Earlier there were also reports that the government intends to appoint all the benches of the GST Appellate Tribunal by January 2025. Since, the officials want to reduce the burden of dispute petitions related to GST and settle them at the applet level itself. It is worth noting that in response to a question in the then session of Parliament, the Finance Ministry had said that about 14,227 applications of disputed tax demands raised by Central GST officials were pending till June 2023.
