Jaunpur, 10 August (HS). On the occasion of Independence Day, this time too, the tricolour will be hoisted in every house from village to city. The administration has made a plan to distribute the tricolour in seven lakh houses. In this, the responsibility of making six lakh tricolours for the village panchayats has been given to the groups. In this, 760 women from 207 groups were included. They will be paid at the rate of Rs 20 for each tricolour.
Nagar Palika Parishad Jaunpur has been directed to distribute seven thousand tricolours. The people of the district have been called upon to hoist the tricolour at their homes by purchasing it from the market. The groups have been provided cloth by NRLM to make the tricolour. All the Block Mission Managers (BMM) have not only been engaged to make six lakh flags in a short time. But daily reports are also being taken from them. The tricolour is being made by the groups since August 5. In which about one and a half lakh flags have been prepared so far. District level officers are also reaching the spot to see the work of the identified groups. Two days ago, Chief Development Officer Sai Teja Seelam also held a meeting and gave necessary instructions regarding this campaign and inspired everyone to work better by maintaining harmony.
The District Panchayat Raj Officer has also been given the responsibility of distributing the flags being prepared by the groups. BDOs, ADO Panchayats and Gram Pradhans have been directed to distribute it in the villages. Flag hoisting should also be done compulsorily at Amrit Sarovars. This time the groups were given the target of making more flags than last year. Last year, four and a half lakh flags were made by the groups. This time, six lakh tricolors are being made, one and a half lakh more. The previous payment has been made to the groups at the rate of Rs 25. A total of one crore, 20 lakh rupees will be paid at the government level for the tricolor. Rs 60 lakh has been paid to the Nirman Prerna Complex Level Sangh located in Barsathi Block Jaroutha. The remaining payment will be given on completion of the work and half of the demand. The instruction to make the tricolor from the groups was given on 31st July. Immediately after this, necessary preparations were started for this. The responsibility of contacting women skilled in sewing and embroidery has been given to BMM. After this, it took some time to complete the process of buying the cloth. After completing the prescribed process, 760 women of 207 groups were given work starting from August 5.
Talking to Hindustan News representative on Saturday in this regard, Chief Development Officer Sai Teja Seelam said that this year the target is to hoist the tricolor in seven lakh houses. Out of this, the responsibility of six lakh has been given to groups. The work of making flags has been started. All the residents of the district are appealed to buy them from the markets and hoist the tricolor with pride in their homes.
