Jaipur, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). Manipal Green Fit Marathon is being organized by Motion Brains Private Limited in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur on Sunday on the occasion of World Heart Day. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the city residents regarding this time run marathon being held for the first time in Vidyadhar Nagar area. According to the organizers, so far more than 1500 people have registered for the marathon, which includes city residents from every section of the society.
Organizer and founder of Motion Brains Private Limited, Virendra Singh said that the objective of this marathon is to promote a healthy lifestyle as well as to give the message of environmental protection. There are three categories in the marathon, 3 kilometer fun run – in which people are taking part in the race for entertainment. 5 Km Time Run and 10 Km Time Run. The races of the participants in both these categories will be timed, and the winners will be given prizes.
First 10 km followed by 5 km time run at 5 am on Sunday morning, starting from Vidyadhar Nagar, Sun & Moon Complex, passing through Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium Road and ending back at Sun & Moon Complex. To boost the morale of the participants, Bollywood singer Ravindra Upadhyay will perform in his melodious voice and Devendra Jhajharia, the first Indian to win two gold medals for India in the Paralympics, will encourage the participating runners.
Manipal Hospital Jaipur, Director Ranjan Thakur said that the purpose of organizing the marathon on World Heart Day is to spread awareness about heart health among the people, he has called upon more and more people to participate in it.
Arun Taylor of Jaipur Fit said that the marathon is being organized with the slogan Run for Green Earth. The objective of which is to increase awareness about the environment and give the message of Green India and Green World. Therefore, all the participants will be gifted a tree along with a certificate and T-shirt, so that they can contribute to environmental protection.
