Cash withdrawal rules: Nowadays users are preferring digital transactions over cash. However, there are times when we need cash. ATM is usually used to withdraw cash quickly, but there is also a very easy way to withdraw money. You can withdraw cash from your Aadhar card. NPCI i.e. National Payments Corporation of India is offering AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System) to the users. This service allows users to do banking related work with Aadhar card number and biometric authentication. It can be used for cash withdrawal, balance inquiry and fund transfer at Micro-ATM.

Withdraw cash with the help of Aadhar card:

To withdraw cash from Aadhar card, it is most important that your Aadhar number is linked to the bank account. If your Aadhaar number and bank account are linked then follow these steps:-

1- Visit a banking agent or micro-ATM that supports AEPS. These are usually found in rural areas, banking outlets or mobile banking services.

2- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number at the Micro ATM.

3- Complete the biometric verification process with the help of fingerprint scanner. Your data must match with the Aadhaar card for the authentication to be successful.

4- After authentication, the system will show you several options. Select 'Cash Withdrawal' from these.

5- Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw. After doing this, money will be deducted from your linked bank account. Keep in mind that the amount you are entering must be within the withdrawal limit.

6- After completion of the transaction, the banking agent will give you cash. Additionally, a message will also be sent to your registered mobile number regarding completion of the transaction.

Keep these things in mind

1- Share your Aadhaar number only with authorized banking services.

2- Keep your registered mobile number updated for transaction alerts.

3- Make sure that the fingerprint scanner used in the process is secure.

Let us tell you that almost all major national and regional banks are providing AEPS service. However, its availability also depends on the bank branch and region.
