After getting the green signal from the Railway Board, there is every possibility of the new and expanded rake reaching Gorakhpur by the last week of this month. This unprecedented expansion will add 6 additional coaches to the train, thereby adding approximately 400 additional seats for passengers and allowing more people to enjoy smooth and fast travel.
Huge demand for trains increased after extension to Prayagraj
Ever since this Vande Bharat Express has been expanded beyond Lucknow to Prayagraj, a huge increase in the number of passengers and demand is being seen on this route. Keeping this increasing popularity in mind, the Railway Administration has taken this step to upgrade its capacity. The new and revised rake setup will now have a total of 22 coaches, which will include 4 executive class coaches and 18 AC chair car coaches, whereas in the existing arrangement only 2 executive and 12 AC chair car coaches were operating.

At present the fare of AC chair car of this luxurious train is fixed at Rs 1360 including food and the fare of executive chair car is fixed at Rs 2570 including food. Due to its high speed and excellent passenger facilities, this train is becoming the first choice among the passengers of this region.

Now ‘Emergency Quota’ has been officially implemented in these trains also. Railway Men’s Union leader Rohit Mishra welcomed the move and said that earlier there were only specific or limited categories in these categories, but now after review, up to 24 berths in Amrit Bharat trains with 7 or more sleeper coaches can be reserved under the emergency quota, which will provide immense convenience to those doing emergency travel.
