Ujjain, 16 February (HS). As per the intention of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Vikramotsav-2024 will be organized in Ujjain from March 1 to April 9. In the same sequence, Ujjaini Vikram Trade Fair will also be organized in Ujjain city. Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Ashish Pathak, the nodal agency for organizing the fair, gave information in this regard through a power point presentation to the representatives of local print and electronic media on Friday. In this regard, Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh also discussed with the media regarding the organization of Ujjaini Vikram Trade Fair, Vikramotsav and Ujjain Investors Summit. During this time, CEO District Panchayat Mrinal Meena was also present.
It was told in the press conference that Vikram Trade Fair will be organized jointly at Dussehra ground and the ground located in PGBT College campus. The main attraction under the fair is 50 percent discount on RTO registration of vehicles purchased from the automobile sector. Among the shops allotted till date, big companies of the automobile sector like Mercedes, MG, Nexa, Mahindra, Tata, Hyundai, Kia, Maruti, Honda etc. are setting up shops in the fair. With this, the city residents will be able to purchase vehicles of different big companies at one place. A total of 178 plots have been earmarked for automobile, electronics, food and bankers in the Dussehra grounds, which have been allotted by the Municipal Corporation by inviting online tenders.
Under the Vikram Trade Fair area, 182 shops have been constructed in the PGBT College campus and are being made available to various types of traders by the Municipal Corporation. Major attractions in this include 50 well-equipped shops of folk colors and 40 shops of handloom and handicrafts. Apart from this, 14 separate shops in the food zone and 20 attractive swing areas in the swing zone have been made by the Municipal Corporation.
All the basic facilities at the site like drinking water, electricity, toilets and adequate internal roads for transportation, fire fighting in case of emergency etc. are being arranged by the Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, space for emergency treatment is also being made available to the medical department.
Keeping in view the safety of the shopkeepers, goods and buyers coming to the Vikram Trade Fair, CCTV cameras will be installed in the entire fair area by the Municipal Corporation. Besides, security guards will also be deployed. Centralized PA system and attractive decorations are being installed in the fair area. Besides, an exhibition of advanced technologies will also be organized by the Department of Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Agricultural Welfare.
By making Vikram Trade Fair a zero waste event, special efforts will be made to make any event of the longest duration the cleanest event. All shopkeepers receiving allocation will be informed in this regard. There is a possibility of launching specific products in the fair area as per the instructions of the government.
