Kathua 03 March (HS). Once again a grand program was organized in Kathua in the memory of the martyrs. In which thousands of people gathered and paid tribute to the martyrs. Meanwhile, 118 families of martyrs were invited and honored.
On Sunday, former minister and founder of Dogra Swabhiman Organization Chaudhary Lal Singh organized a grand program in the memory of the martyrs. Earlier, thousands of people gathered at Kali Bari, the entrance gate of Kathua city and organized a rally in the memory of the martyrs. Along with Chaudhary Lal Singh, thousands of people took out a rally on foot from Kalibari. In the rally, people raised slogans of long live the brave soldier, long live the martyred soldier. People welcomed the rally at many places during the 3 kilometer long walk. On reaching the main Shaheedi Chowk of Kathua, Chaudhary Lal Singh along with his wife and others paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the martyrs' memorial located in Shaheedi Chowk. Later a public meeting was organized at Ramlila Maidan in Kathua. In which Chaudhary Lal Singh went to the martyrs' gallery and saluted the martyrs and addressed the public. Addressing the public, Chaudhary Lal Singh expressed gratitude to the people and families of the martyrs who came to honor the martyrs. Singh said that it is because of the sacrifices of these brave soldiers that we are breathing a sigh of relief today and we should remember them.
Meanwhile, while talking about the Rasna case, he said that in the Rasna case, he had raised his voice regarding the rape of the girl and had demanded a CBI investigation. But they were not listened to. He said that some people, upset with his popularity, put many investigating agencies behind him. He said that Ladakh was also made a union territory. After this, the local people were not happy and everyone gathered on one platform and protested against it. After which the central governments called him and invited him to resolve the situation through talks. But there is no unity among the people of Jammu province. He stressed that all Dogars will have to unite and only then will they get back their statehood. This will be possible only when everyone comes together and raises their voice. He said that such programs will continue in future also in honor of the martyrs. Later the martyred families were honored by giving them blankets. Meanwhile, the eyes of some martyr families became moist, and Choudhary Lal Singh hugged them and encouraged them.
