Mahavir Jayanti celebrations in London Parliament : The birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir Swami was celebrated grandly in the British Parliament. Jain saint Acharya Lokesh Muni participated in the program as a special guest. People from Britain's Jain community were also present in this program.
On this occasion, Acharya Lokesh Muni said, 'The thoughts of Lord Mahavir Swami are very important even today and are as relevant as they were useful earlier. There are solutions to many problems of the world in the thoughts of Lord Mahavir Swami. ,
Earlier, the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir Swami was also celebrated for the first time in the California State Assembly of America. Meanwhile, the Jain community has also announced the launch of a campaign for digital detox i.e. to get rid of the obsession with social media. The Jain principles of peace, compassion, non-violence and love were presented in this ceremony. Acharya Lokesh Muni was also present in this program.
Acharya has recently been awarded the US President's Gold Volunteer Service Award for his contribution to humanity and public welfare work. He is the first Indian Jain Acharya to receive this honour. US President Joe Biden also congratulated Acharya Lokesh Muni and appreciated his humanitarian work.
Acharya Lokesh Muni also said, 'The honor I have received is a respect for Indian culture, the spiritual values of India and the principles of Lord Mahavir Swami.'
