Ranchi, July 13 (HS). Jharkhand Chief Justice Vidyut Ranjan Sharangi and Executive Chairman of JHALSA (Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority) Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad will inaugurate Gram Nyayalaya at two different places in the state on Sunday.

He will inaugurate the Gram Nyayalaya in Mandar of Ranchi and Baharagora of Jamshedpur. Along with this, according to the proposed program of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, the Sub-Divisional Court is also to be inaugurated in Chakradharpur of Gumla district.

The first village court in Jharkhand was established in Jhumritilaiya of Koderma district. Civil cases up to Rs 25,000 and summons trial (minor) criminal cases will be heard in the village court.

After the start of the Gram Nyayalayas, the above cases of 19 panchayats of Mandar block will be heard. The panchayats whose cases will be heard in the Gram Nyayalayas include Mandro, Sarba, Bisaha Khatanga, Mahuajadi, Cambo, Bajhila, Kanjia, Mandar, Malati, Tigoi Ambatoli, Karge, Bargadi, Brambe, Mudma, Sursa, Nagda, Tangarbasli, Loyo and Jhinjhari panchayats.

At present, the concept of Gram Nyayalaya, which is being started in two blocks, can be implemented in the blocks of other districts in future. Six places have been selected for this. The idea behind Gram Nyayalaya is that the villagers living in remote areas should not have to come to the civil court for hearing of small cases.
