Former England batsman Graham Thorpe died on Monday at the age of 55. The England and Wales Cricket Board gave this information. Thorpe played 100 Tests and 82 ODIs for England and retired in 2005. After this he coached a county club.

Thorpe was hospitalised in 2022 after falling seriously ill. He also served as the batting coach of the England senior men's team. Thorpe, who made his debut at Trent Bridge in 1993, scored 16 Test centuries and scored 6,744 runs.
