Governor and Chief Minister wished Dussehra festival, said- celebrate the festival together

Dehradun, 11 October (HS). While congratulating and best wishes to the people of the state on Vijayadashami and Dussehra festival, the Governor and the Chief Minister said that they should celebrate this auspicious occasion together in a cordial atmosphere and strengthen social harmony.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Seni) in his message issued on the eve said that this festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and it inspires us to leave the negativity within us and adopt positivity and virtues. There is an appeal to all citizens to imbibe the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in their lives and maintain an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood, peace and harmony in the society. This festival provides us an opportunity to understand the importance of solidarity, cooperation and co-existence.

The Chief Minister said that Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram was dedicated to truth, dignity, justice, peace, charity and public welfare. He said that may Lord Shri Ram give all of us the strength to destroy Ravana in the form of ego, anger and greed and the ability to discharge all our human duties. He said that on this auspicious occasion of victory of religion and truth, my prayer at the feet of Lord Shri Ram is that everyone should be happy, everyone should be blessed and well-being, every house should be blessed with happiness, prosperity and prosperity.
