Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Seni) in his message said that the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami inspires us to adopt the highest moral and social values like philanthropy, sacrifice, love, compassion and establish an ideal society.
The Governor said that this is a time of great fortune for all of us that after a long wait of centuries, a grand and divine Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya. Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram is a unique ideal not only for the people of India but for the entire humanity. On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the Governor has wished happiness, peace and prosperity in the life of every citizen.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Lord Ram is the symbol of our faith and belief, his ideal character inspires us to move ahead in life. He said that the importance of Ram Navami has increased this year when Lord Shri Ram is seated in the grand temple in Ayodhya. On the occasion of Ram Navami, the occasion of divine anointment of the Lord's forehead with the rays of the sun will also be unforgettable. The Chief Minister said that we should try to imbibe the personality of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in our lives.
He said that this festival is a symbol of the great tradition of Indian culture. This festival of Navratri indicates the importance and strength of women in the society. Kanya Puja performed on this occasion shows the importance of women power.
