New scheme of the government- The government has come up with a special offer to help the youth who leave their jobs and start a startup. Under this, the Karnataka government will provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 per month to those youth who want to leave their jobs and start their own business.

Speaking at the Moneycontrol Startup Conclave in Bengaluru, Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge said, “We are soon going to launch an entrepreneur program, which will probably be the first of its kind in the country. Under this, if a person leaves his job to become an entrepreneur, we will give him a stipend of Rs 25,000 per month for a year.

for 2024-25 Budget In , Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the Rajiv Gandhi Entrepreneurship Programme (RGEP) for young innovators and entrepreneurs. According to the IT-BT department, RGEP is designed for young entrepreneurs with science or engineering background.

They will get a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 for 12 months along with guidance from K-Tech Innovation Hub. However, the amount of Rs 25000 is very less. On this, Minister Priyank Kharge said, 'It is a small amount considering the rising inflation, but at least we will ensure that household expenses are taken care of.' Talking about the success of the Karnataka government's Elevate program, Kharge called it the “most preferred scheme for startups”.

Kharge said, “If startups register with the Karnataka government and participate in the Elevate program and win, the Karnataka government will be their first customer.” Under this, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 per month to those youth who want to leave their jobs and start their own business.
