The Central Government has taken a big and relief decision regarding the career and employment of former Agniveers (Ex-Agniveers) who have come out after completing 4 years of service under the Agnipath Scheme. According to the new guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), amendments have been made in the direction of giving preference to former firefighters and giving up to 50 percent reservation and privileges in the recruitments in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF – like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB) and Assam Rifles. With this step of the government, the youth retiring from the army after 4 years will get a safe and permanent career option.

Age relaxation: Different rules for first batch and general batch

Major relaxation has also been given regarding age limit in CAPF constable recruitment for former firefighters:

• Agniveer of the first batch: Maximum upper age limit for former Agniveers of the first batch of Agneepath Yojana 5 year Exemption will be given.

• Agniveer of the future batch: All Agniveers coming after the first batch will be included in the age limit. 3 years The benefit of discount will continue to be available.

Due to this relaxation, Agniveer who will come out after 4 years of service will be able to apply for CAPF Recruitment without any hassle.

Complete exemption from Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Another big relief for the former Agniveers is that they will get the opportunity during the Constable (General Duty) recruitment in CAPF and Assam Rifles. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) There will be no need to give. Since Agniveers have already undergone rigorous military training in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force, they will be considered physically fit and will be able to directly participate in the written examination and other selection processes.

Major paramilitary forces of the country prepared a special blueprint

Director Generals of major paramilitary forces like CISF, Border Security Force (BSF), and CRPF have clarified that seats will be reserved for former firefighters in their constable recruitments. This decision will not only secure the future of the youth, but the paramilitary forces will also get already trained, disciplined and experienced personnel, which will tremendously increase the efficiency and operational capability of the forces.
