Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while expecting a suitable response from the government on the issue of Arunachal, has also said that going beyond party politics, we are together in protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India.

Issuing a strong statement on China's Foreign Minister's comment on Monday that Arunachal Pradesh was part of its territory, Mallikarjun Kharge said that India is being criticized for changing names of places and making absurd claims by redrawing maps of areas belonging to other countries. China's record is well known. Giving a message to China of political unity in India on the issue of Arunachal, Kharge said that we are together in protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, going beyond party politics.

After giving the message of solidarity in the Arunachal issue, the Congress President raised questions on the policy of the BJP government at the Center regarding China and said that PM Modi is responsible for China's stubbornness in not taking action like showing 'red eyes'. It was also alleged that PM Modi giving a clean chit to China by ignoring the Galvan Valley incident on June 19, 2020, in which 20 Indian brave soldiers sacrificed their lives for the nation, is also responsible for this.

Kharge said that whether it is the construction of villages near the border with Arunachal Pradesh or the kidnapping of our citizens living near the border – the 'Please China Policy' of the Modi government has put our national security in danger in Arunachal.
