RS Pura, 28 November (His). Farmer leader Chaudhary Mohan Singh has demanded from the Central and Jammu and Kashmir government that the government needs to take effective steps to stop the drug trade in Jammu division. He said that our young generation is moving towards the quagmire of bad habits like drug addiction which is a threat to our society and country.
He said that to stop drug trade, there is a need for concrete laws and strict action against drug sellers. Farmer leader Chaudhary Mohan Singh, during a press conference held at RS Pura, said that the government needs to make the strictest laws to stop the drug trade and there is a need to tighten the noose on those who are engaged in spreading drugs. And they are playing with the future of the young generation.
He said that along with the Central Government, it is also the responsibility of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to run a special campaign against drugs. He said that common people want that drug addiction should be completely eradicated in Jammu and Kashmir and people are also fully ready to cooperate with the government. In such a situation, it is the duty of the government to control this problem by making concrete laws as soon as possible. Other people were also present along with him on this occasion.
